I wanted to use clean typefaces to keep the suite looking crisp and bright - but I included little script accents for that whimsical, outdoor, breeze-in-your-hair feel. I was concerned with using yellow ink for readability purposes, so I paired that text with a grey shadow (and the yellow ink ended up printing beautifully, thanks to my friends at the printshop).

The responses are postcards, with a little text box on the mailing side to write in your own address. I also wanted to use more informal copy since, like I said, this is a friendly couple. I think friends and family can just hear the bride saying "We like you. Come to our wedding." The thank-you notes take on that same personality:

I think these invitations give you the best kind of attitude for a wedding: "this is going to be fun, we want you to be there!" Taking a more conversational approach to the way you select invitation wording can be a little risky, but if your guests know and love you, it can be a really wonderful, personal touch.
